Beat them on a dial, and it turns.
About the game
In Tickmoor, a town of clockmakers, the ground itself is a clock. Towers stand on 3×3 plates set on the dials of a giant clock. Each monster you beat on a plate fills its hand by one notch; when the hand is full, the plate clacks a quarter turn and carries its towers and any monsters on it.
Odile, the clockmaker, keeps the town's Spring-Heart safe. Turn a plate at the right moment and the monsters are sent back down a longer path. Turn it badly and it jams: a brass padlock shows when a turn would close the road.
