Hill Climb Driving Tips: Go Further Without Flipping

In hill climb driving games, going fast is easy. Going far is the hard part. One wild jump and your driver lands on their head, or the tank runs dry just before the next fuel can. These tips will help you control your vehicle, land safely, manage your fuel and spend your coins wisely.
How it works
You drive a vehicle over endless hills with two pedals: gas and brake. The goal is to travel as far as you can. Coins along the road pay for upgrades, and fuel cans refill your tank.
The run ends when you run out of fuel or when your driver's head hits the ground. In many games, staying upside down for too long ends it too. The hills get steeper and bumpier as you go, so every extra meter is harder than the last.
Gas and brake are for balance
The pedals do more than speed you up and slow you down. Pressing gas lifts the front of the vehicle. Too much gas on a steep hill and you rear up and flip over backwards. Brake does the opposite and tips the nose down.
So drive with small presses rather than holding the gas all the time. If the front wheel rises too high, ease off or tap the brake. Going down a slope, brake a little to stay in control, then build speed again for the next climb.
Steep climbs need momentum. If you stall halfway up, roll back a little and try again with a run-up. In our games, holding brake when you are stopped makes you reverse.
Control your vehicle in the air
Jumps are where most runs end. In the air, gas usually tilts the vehicle backwards and brake tilts it forwards. Use short taps to keep it steady, and try to match the angle of the ground where you will land: flat on a flat road, nose down on a downhill slope.
Big jumps are not always worth it. If a ramp is coming and your vehicle is already wobbling, slow down before you reach it. A smaller jump with a clean landing beats a huge one that ends on the roof.
Keep an eye on your fuel
Fuel is the real limit on a long run. The tank empties as you drive, so the key is to reach the next can in time. Never skip one on purpose.
A steady pace that keeps you on your wheels is worth more than speed that ends in a crash. In our games, the fuel cans get further and further apart, so a bigger tank soon becomes a must.
Spend your coins on the right upgrades
Between runs, spend your coins in the garage. The usual upgrades are the engine for power, tires for grip, suspension for softer landings and the fuel tank for longer drives.
Do not just max out the engine. More power makes the vehicle rear up more easily, so you will have to be even gentler on the gas. Upgrade a little of everything, then test each change on a run before buying the next one.
Learn the road
In our games, each game's hills are the same every time you play. Use that: remember where the big ramp, the deep gap or the steep wall is, and get ready before you reach it. Watch out for ice too: the tires slip there, so press the gas gently.
Beating your record is easier one piece at a time. Signs mark every 100 meters, so aim to pass the next sign rather than thinking about the whole road.
Try our hill climb games
Tractor Hills puts a cow on a tractor with a trailer of three watermelons: each one still on board earns coins every 100 meters. Cosmo Rover drives on the Moon, where you jump very high and every flip you land earns coins. Pingo Slide sends a penguin over snowy hills with slippery ice patches and golden snowflakes to catch.
